If they just did them via the accounts we have created, limiting the number you can enter every so many minutes, it would save them (and us) so much grief. Like how MSE restrict the frequency of search. The captchas are clearly to slow you down. ie costs per hour of server use
    l.

You don't create an account for the C2Ws you simply need an e-mail address and just slowing the entry rate would not stop auto entries (they use the same system on their American ones ).

I was wondering, would it be worth asking for a C2W sticky thread, so that when someone notices they're not using Captchas they can add it to the thread. Those who wanted could subscribe to the thread and get instant notification, to make the most of it.

    Just a thought

In view of the comment about auto entries I was thinking perhaps now it would be better not to mention it at any time - any advantage to not typing would be lost many times over if it triggers auto-entry.

Also someone over 100 miles away from me does them and we do not always get the same sites without them, it's only because they have been having issues they are switched off at the moment.

Yeah, good point. I guess if they drop capchas, they will be vulnerable to auto entries. Oh well - another one bites the dust :D

  • It just seems to me that being a member doesn't really add any benefit in this case. They subject us to so many emails and ads on those sites.

If we answer the odd survey, this unlocks surveys for the next 2 days. I'm lucky to get a survey every 4 days. ie no real benefit to even do one. Ever.

Instant wins are using the member login. clickswins I'm still trying to work out what their gain is from a member apart from exposure to brands. Why make that hard for people your business already has a relationship with?

Put another way.. I would consider doing a few surveys once a week via my member account to make sure I had no captchas that week/few days. Yes the pain can feel that bad lol.
