Making an offer on a property

Hi
Does anyone have a good template to use for submitting an offer in writing to the estate agent? The funds for the purchase are from part mortgage and part sale of a holiday let which is on the market.
Any ideas are appreciated.

Are you under offer on the holiday let? No offer will be taken seriously if you aren't proceedable. To the point that it's not worth offering.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Hi
Yes we have an offer on the holiday let.0 -
Where is the property you're making an offer on? Scotland (then your offer has to be made via your solicitor) or England, Wales or Northern Ireland?0

Hi
Its England. The estate agent asked for the offer to be made in writing so any steer on wording would be great.

??
From your posts I'm guessing English is your first language. You also appear (from the brief words you've written) literate.
Surely you can write a short letter?0 -
I think the point is, that all you need to write in your letter is personal to you.
You put the offer figure, and then you can back it up with an outline of your position, eg. I have a mortgage agreed in principle and the remainder in cash due on x date from sale of another property, on which contracts have already been exchanged.
Just enough info for the seller to decide whether you are a good bet.0 -
Thank you all - I have already drafted a letter and was just looking for any tips or angles. Appreciate the positive comments.
And to you G_M thank you especially for your words of immense wisdom. I appreciate the time you gave to write that post.0
