Can't connect to Facebook on my desktop

I know some will think this is a blessing in disguise :rotfl:but I'm really missing my Facebook fix!
I've tried using Chrome, Firefox and IE but still can't get onto Facebook. I've cleared my recent History and restarted my desktop twice, but still no joy. I'm wary of clearing cookies as I understand this will also clear my auto fill data - I rely on some sites filling in the account details themselves and I'm not sure I could easily lay my hand on all the required info
Wrong I know, but it's a bad habit that's served me well so far.
I can connect to Facebook with my phone via the WiFi and am at a complete loss as to why it won't work via the desktop.
All help most gratefully received, but please be gentle with me as my knowledge is very basic.

So what DOES happen when you try to logon to Faceache?
PS - you can clear cookies without clearing auto-fill data - they are separate things.0 -
You wouldn't be on BT Broadband, by any chance?:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

I sometimes have this problem after I've cleared junk out of my PC. It usually works if I try a little later. I'm not with BT.2022. 2% MF challenge. £730/30000

After much spinning of the little arrow Firefox says the connection was interrupted, Chrome says this webpage is not available and IE says Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.Tigsteroonie wrote: »You wouldn't be on BT Broadband, by any chance?

This started before I cleared anything out and hasn't been improved by my housekeeping

I do have BT and it does sometimes block Facebook. No Talk Talk
The best way I've found so far is to reboot the Broadband box.
Even on Talk Talk, it might be worth a try...0 -

:j Thank you, it's now back!!
I didn't even think to try rebooting the router as my phone and my sons Kindle were connecting to FB via the WiFi.
Off to catch up with all the family gossip now
