Withdrawing money from credit card?

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help?? I use my credit card for online betting with bet365. I have just had a nice bit of luck with a win of £2500 but bet365 will only pay back onto the card you used to deposit money so that will put my co op credit card into positive £ 2000 and to get this money out via a transaction would incur a charge of 3%, does anyone know of any way to avoid this?

  • I was also wondering if there would be a charge for being so much in credit?

    Thanks in advance.

Have Co-op told you they won't refund to your current account, and so you're left with ATM/branch withdrawals at 3% a pop? Or are you making an assumption?

If the former, then your only option really is to close the account...they'll have to refund then. If the latter, then don't make assumptions!
  • Thanks for your reply, I haven't spoken to co op yet, i only spoke to bet365 to see if they would pay onto my current account card but they refused. I was just making an assumption, I don't have a current account with co op just my credit card and thought there would be some sort of admin fee for being so much in credit and withdrawing such large amounts.

No experience with Co-op, but I've just got back a near £12K positive balance on one of my cards (not via gambling I might add) without paying a fee.
  • Thanks again going to give the co op a phone and see what they are saying about it.

Perhaps buy up some gift cards for places you would normally spend at (e.g. Tesco/ASDA, Currys, iTunes)?

I think the credit card company will send you a cheque if you ask them.
