statute letter sent, how long a wait

Ive sent a statued letter, to a company whom I was informed purchased my old visa account number.
Not being 100% sure it has passed 6 years, ive sent off a tamed down statued letter registered post to see the what reaction it gets.
Its been about two weeks now and nothing, whats the usual time frame.

Not sure there is a usual time frame really.

If their records indicate it is statute barred then you may not hear from them at all.

If they are obtaining information from the original creditor and this suggests it is not statute barred then they could write to you again in anything from a couple of weeks up to a couple of months or more.
