  • Do you know roughly how much the bungalow is he's looking at?
  • Bungalow about 220 I think will find link for this house and pop it on. We were thinking of going in at 355 then negotiate from there. Most we want to pay is 375 really just wondering if the EA will laugh at me when I call !!
  • I'd be tempted to go in at 350 and see what happens to be honest.

And don't just jump up in price if you get a no - sometimes a bit of stewing is what a deluded seller needs :D

The only way to determine your offer is to subtract the sum of the digits of your full date of birth from those of the most recent lottery draw, divided by your inside leg measurement, multiplied by the time of day the offer was made, rounding up if made in the morning and down if was in the afternoon. Simply convert that from pounds, shillings and pence to decimal and there you go.

ps - don't forget to carry the 1 in the 3rd column if it's a full moon on the day of calculation. Different rules apply to leap years, high tides, and whether it's bin day
  • First offer of 355 in and estate agent didn't laugh (well until she got off the phone anyway ;) )

    Good luck!

And remember - 1.5% of no sale is nothing, so the estate agent is probably fed up with the seller as much as anyone else!

I have a mortgage offer letter done already - we have already gone through the process

To have a mortgage offer you must have advised the lender the purchase price, which means your offer must have been accepted already.

As said already, to port a mortgage you still need to go through the full application process.
  • We are not borrowing anymore money, just porting what we have got as we have the cash for the rest. The mortgage is not finalised as such but we have a letter in our posession - that was not my question - I was interested in opinions on what I should offer but my mortgage is not really of importance. Our offer has been rejected but 370 has been mentioned so hoping we will possibly get it for 368 will hear for definate on Monday.
Thanks to everyone who gave me helpful advice on my original question and gave me the confidence to go with it - will hopefully have some good news on Monday fingers crossed xx
