UKPC questions

Hi
My wife received a UKPC parking ticket in a 2 hour free zone, basically she went for a ticket got talking to someone 20 minutes later returned to find a ticket. Parking notice time was 10 minutes before the ticket she'd finally got from the machine due to chopsing. This was November 2013, on advice rightly or wrongly we ignored all letters the usual additions and reductions now after 6 months with no communication we have recieved the last demand from SCS stating we need to contact the debt recovery agency to pay the outstanding demand or they MAY take us to court.

A couple of question firstly I've read that UKPC have never taken anyone to small claims court is this true?

Secondly for peace of mind if they do raise a case and go to court what would be the steps for this and at what point would we still be able to pay the fine/invoice to stop any CCJ's.

And I suppose lastly if this did go to court bearing in mind that there are no finacial loses dur due to the 2 Free hours parking while shopping what would they be claiming for aside from admin fees?

Thanks in advance.

    1. They tried in Scotland but quickly withdrew when they realised they were going to be ripped a new one. They have never taken anyone to court in England or Wales.

    2. Forget about paying them anything. IF they broke the habit of a lifetime and actually took you to court, you'd come back here for help and would beat them.

Everything you need to know is in the NEWBIES thread. (There is more to it than just post #1).

Here's PPC-world's most up-to-date record of court cases undertaken.

    They won't.

    They still won't.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
