Parcel monkey

Options
hi every one

I wondered if anyone could help me, its rather ironic really but the background is..
a courier driver turned up at our door (live with my partners parents) and my parters mum rang me saying a courier from parcel monkey is here to collect something do you know anything about it. I didnt however, my partner was talking about sending something back so I said to her oh it must be James's parcel
Said parcel wasnt wrapped up ready no labels but the driver had a bag and labels to put on it.

After all this my partner rang me saying he never booked anything in so no idea why the courier turned up, all confusing by now an item has gone, dont know where and i've been emailing parcel monkey through their site since Wednesday with no reply

Does anyone have any other way of contacting them? an email a phone number???

Thanks

So did the courier ask for your partner, I thought parcel monkey weren't the couriers but more a middle man.

Parcel Monkey is just a comparison site like Parcels 2 Go, where you would put in parcel sizes and it would give a list of couriers that can deliver your item.
So if they stated they were from Parcel Monkey then it sounds like a scam
  • Could still be legitimate- have had couriers introduce them as 'Amazon' (I know Amazon have their own logistics co now, but this was before it existed) etc in the past. The courier could well have found out it was booked via Parcel Monkey from the account number on the label and was just being clever.

Many couriers carry a spare label for each job, to apply at the doorstep- although I haven't heard of them offering postage bags before... was there a liveried van outside?

UPS have a stock in their vans, the last parcel i had collected by UPS was just a small box (the size of a mobile phone box) he asked if i would prefer it to be in a proper postal bag as he had some in his van at 50p each which i would be invoiced for as he was not allowed to take payment, so i took a dozen bags as i used then plenty of times. signed his PDA and i had an invoice in a couple of days

    Avoid Parcel Monkey.

When CityLink went into administration I had a parcel returned to the ParcelMonkey head office just outside Southampton. They insisted I drive from Merseyside to pick it up, the only alternative being to dispose of a parcel containing £££££s of returned goods. In the end I had to do a 800 mile trip to drop the parcel off at its original destination in London.

No compensation, no alternative, no reply to the complaint letter to their Managing Director.

They will happily take your money and leave you high and dry if things go wrong.

yes AVOID parcel monkey. Last week I booked a collection with them via parcel force, got the label e mailed from parcel monkey the day before collection. I stayed in all day but no collection. Parcel force said that nothing was on the computer from parcel monkey. The parcel was important

Look at the site, there is no phone number and very difficult to contact anyone there. They have told me that I will be refunded, so I will give them a few days then will contact my bank if it has not been processed. They are a shockingly shoddy company. I persisted in order to get the refund, if I had let it go then I doubt I would be getting my money back

Parcelmonkey seems much much cheaper than going directly to the couriers. For example 20 versus 70 pounds to send a 22kg package to Denmark.

If people don't trust parcelmonkey, who else is competitive?
