PCN; sorry in advance but advice appreciated

An apology in advance if this has already been covered numerous times.

I parked my vehicle in a private road on 19/10/12 while I dropped my children off at school. I thought it was ok to park in the road and the signage referred to the car parks either side of the road which lead to residential flats.

When I returned I had a ticket issued by UK parking control limited along with several other cars. The ticker referred to the estate name as a whole rather that the road I was parked in. Following some advice (Wrong or right I don’t know as after 01/10/12) I chose to ignore the PCN I received several letters over the following months and continued to ignore and after a while the letters stopped completely and I thought the matter had gone away.

That was until on 16/01/2015 I had a letter from smallclaimssolicitors.co.uk who had now taken ownership with the usual nonsense threatening court and CCJS with the fine now up to £150.

What would your advice be should I continue to ignore the letters or at this stage begin to lodge some form of appeal I no longer have the original ticket or letters. Any advice appreciated.

Read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES. Here you will find the reason why you shouldn't ignore a PCN, why you should ignore debt collectors, and about naming the driver to reset the clock and start the appeal process from scratch if you want to get this to stop. I don't know if this PPC do court so I don't know if it is safe to ignore them.

Debt collectors have no powers and the only thing they can do is send you free bog paper or firelighters.

SCS has taken ownership of nothing, it's just the debt collectors again pretending to be the solicitors.

And it is UKPC, so don't worry. :)
