excel parking notice

Hi All

We have received a parking charge notice today in the post from Excel for £60.00
The reason we were parked in the Car park was that were carrying out a maintenance call to one of the stores @ Ebbw vale, parking spaces in there yard had already been taken so we parked in the main car park at the front of the store , no signs were seen , so no ticket was purchased however in the vans we do have notices advising that engineers our on call and are working in the stores.
I will be appealing this notice of course without releasing drivers details etc but is it best to submit the template from this forum and leave out our reasoning or will it best to add this into the letter.

Any advise would be appreicated
Thanks
Frankie

An obvious question, have you asked the store to get it cancelled?

What happened on the day is irrelevant and won't get you anywhere so no point in including it. Just use all the appeal points in the template appeal in the NEWBIES thread.

When your appeal is rejected, you will then have the choice of either appealing to the IAS kangaroo court or ignoring everything from anyone except court papers.

I have spoken to the store and have been advised by them that the car park is not there property and is managed by a private company, so unfortunelty there isnt anything they can do

Was this a retail park? Or a car park for that store alone? (The front desk will never tell you the true story - you need to speak to the store manager).

I did speak to the store manager , we do have a good relationship with them so if he could have im sure he would have got this cancelled , this was a retail park with several store argos, aldi, poundstretcher etc

So you ask them for the managing agents or landowner details, then complain to THEM. ;)
