Hi, does anybody know which, if any, credit cards offer a balance transfer from MBNA as recently got a transfer card from Santander only to be told at the final hurdle that they only transfer from UK cards?
Thanks : )

I applied for, and received my MBNA card in the UK. I subsequently applied for and received a Santander credit card for a balance transfer. I was on the phone to transfer the balance with Santander who when I gave the MBNA card details said they couldn't transfer from MBNA?0

I had a similar problem recently with exactly the same phone requested transfer from an MBNA card.Oldfaithful wrote: »I applied for, and received my MBNA card in the UK. CSA suggested I try online instead...and it worked!

Thanks for that. In that case perhaps I was a little hasty in closing the account !0

Just out of interest, which specific MBNA card is it?0 -
Just a basic cash back card. It would be handy to source a definitive list somewhere of any balance transfer cards that will accept it0

I thought you were going to say Virgin Atlantic, because I had a theory that the Amex card on the same account (15-digit card number) was somehow interfering with the Visa card I was BTing from.Oldfaithful wrote: »Just a basic cash back card. As to where you go now, then in my experience any card provider not in the MBNA stable (check the respective credit agreements/T&Cs before applying) would accept the BT.0 -
Thanks for the advice this eve, big help : )0
