EON MSE Fixed 1 Year Collective Switch Online

Not impressed with the outcome of switching to the EON MSE Fixed 1 Year Collective Switch Online.
EON's Direct Debit is £22 per month higher than previous Scottish power contract - thanks MSE. I entered accurate meter readings, Eon now querying these and requesting new ones. They are helpful but I can help feel let down by the process and with the recent Times article about Switching sites focusing on the deals that make them money I can help but be a bit cynical.
It would be worth switching back to scottish power and paying the £10 get out fee if this does not get resolved.
Can anyone help?

Direct Debit payments and the energy you are billed for are two different things. Suppliers can only set a DD based on information received, and may need to adjust the DD in line with use.
Before signing up, did you compare the unit price and standing charges for both your current tariff and new tariff? Did you manually calculate these based on your consumption? This would have given you accurate savings.
Based on your known consumption and prices on your MSE tariff, is the higher DD more than what you use? If so, your account may end up in a credit balance.
I think I seen the rep from E.ON say there is a DD manager through the online account that re-calculates your DD for you, and allows you to make changes to the DD yourself. Have you tried this?0 -
Hi jsrmpaddock and welcome to the Forums. Thought it might help if I give you a bit of information about our Monthly Direct Debits.
As Ivf says, they're based on past usage and current prices. If either changes so will the monthly amounts. The aim is to achieve as near as possible to a zero balance by the time of the annual review.
If you've registered online, the Direct Debit Manager Ivf talks about is available on our website. This gives you more control over the arrangement and lets you make certain changes. Comes in handy should circumstances change.
Provided the account is billed up to the latest meter readings, you can change the payments by up to 20 per cent up or down. By up to 5 per cent up or down without readings.
Before putting the change through we'll let you know by how much we anticipate the account will be in credit/debit by the time of the annual review if the new amount is confirmed but usage doesn't alter accordingly.
The usage history at the property will have been passed to us as part of the change of supplier process. I suspect we've asked for your latest readings to bring the account up to date and make sure the payments are covering what you're using. If the amount you're paying results in a credit balance of more than a fiver at the annual review, this will automatically be refunded to your bank.
To check your options, I'd suggest popping your details in to one of the independent comparison sites. For greater accuracy, put in the usage as kWh rather than a monetary amount.
Hope this helps point you in the right direction jsrmpaddock.

The only tariff coming out cheaper is Extra Energy Jan 16 v8 -and that is only £8 cheaper pa.
That's the problem with having big feet, nothing fashionable fits.
Good thing is, there's always a bargain in size 11 and 12.0
