M & S Current Account Switch

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of opening M&S Current account via the switch service and taking advantage of their £100 incentive. My question is, does anyone know roughly how long the process takes?

My Nationwide Flex direct is coming to the end of the first year on 6th March.

Your question, reading between the lines, is answered in their switching T&Cs.

When you get round to reading them you'll see (in condition 1) that you have 6 months after account opening to complete the switch, so no problem regarding a FlexDirect switch in early March.

So open the account now (whilst you still can...you never know when they'll pull it!) and call them 2-3 weeks before the date to initiate the switch.

You phone them and they send you some info to read, you then have to call them back and it takes 7/14 days (can't remember which) from the date of the second phone call to complete the switch.
