More limited range of Easyjet flights - only 1 per day

For the past 3 years I have booked a return flight to Bologna with Easyjet in early September/October. In previous years there has been a choice of 2-3 flights per day with different prices depending on time of day and date. I have just been looking a prices for this year but Easyjet only seems to be offering 1 flight per day. I thought that they hadn't released all the options yet so I tested it for an earlier date in May/June but it was just the same. Has anyone noticed this for other destinations? I may end up booking with BA instead.

Probably that multiple flights a day didn't produce decent enough margins for them so they've reduced the frequency and used the aircraft for a more profitable route.
They still have some very reasonable prices.0 -
Have you always been able to book and see a choice of flights this early? I wonder whether they may reallocate some aircraft to routes such as that one from the routes to summer-only destinations, but that they haven't yet decided how that reallocation should be done.0

Airline schedules change constantly in light of demand and profits (or lack thereof). It's not out of the question that the frequency will increase at a later stage but I would say it's very unlikely.0

I booked in early February last year and then watched the ticket price go up between March and about August.
I did check dates a bit sooner than Sept to see if there were more options but there weren't.0 -

There probably aren't any earlier than September because the planes are flying to summer holiday destinations then. That may have been true last year too. I'd follow Holly's advice and see what you find.0 -
I don't know where you are but Ryanair fly to Bolonga to Manchester as were flying back mid May. It was only £20 as it was quoted in euro so got a better exchange rare on my credit card:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one
