What's that supposed to mean? Op seems to have a genuine injury so has every right to seek medical attention.
Of course that's different to whether op can or cannot make a claim. Op - who said the supermarket is liable?0 -

Whos grape was it..? It sounds just like that tv advert..Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Once I walked away from the manager, the lady who saw me fall came over and said I should take this further. She gave me her name and number and said she's more than happy to give a statement if need be.
This lady has clearly been watching too much american cr*p on TV, and is a classic example of what is wrong with society. People wanting something for nothing. She needs a good slap if you ask me.
Be more British and take the stiff upper lip method.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I was going to the doctors because my knee is very swollen and I'm in pain. Not for the "fun" of it.
And I am not going to proceed with the personal injury claim.
Thanks for your opinions and advice.0 -
Hope your appointment goes well and there's no serious damage.
You've made a very wise decision; I speak as someone in the middle of a claim for a serious injury in a supermarket, with no contributory negligence, which I know has only just over a 50% chance of success, hence my small amount of knowledge of the paperwork and stress involved in actually claiming.
Not all personal injury claimants are out to make a fast buck. So far, falling over a certain well-known supermarket's property, left lying around on the floor at the entrance to an aisle, has cost me the best part of £3,000 in wheelchair hire, a weekly cleaner, gardener, hospital parking charges and petrol, physiotherapy, supermarket delivery charges, and on and on it goes. I shan't bore you all with the unpleasant surgery, permanent limp and all the rest of the stuff that is financially unquantifiable.0 -
To be frank i had a severe a fracture at work (due to a TP companies negligence) full liability was admitted and my claim was added onto my employers who got the big guns out (as they had to pay for my work cover while i was off for six months and also pay me!)
The amount received took nearly three years and was not as much as you would think (but was in line with the legal guidelines in these matters) the full claim costs were 75k my settlement didn't even get close to the 5k, never mind the other 70 lol :rotfl:
So the only winners were the law firms. Please note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...0
