Liquidated some assets on eBay after Xmas and as I've done for a while used MyParcelDelivery.com to find the cheapest courier to get them to their new owners.
For two of the item Hermes came out as the cheapest with an estimated delivery of Wednesday. The blurb said to drop it off at the local collection point and it will be delivered within 48 hours but if you drop it off after midday then it'll be picked up the next day and then 48 hours from then.
So, drop the items off on Monday evening and expect them to be collected Tuesday so delivered Thursday. Check on Tuesday evening and the tracker shows both parcels being dropped off a the collection point but only one of them having been collected
Speak to their (MPD) live chat, Nathan, and he apologies saying they dont know why only one was collected but the other will now be collected on Thursday and delivered Monday. I query this as it says collection is same/ next day and he advises this is wrong its actually every other day.
Out of interest go onto their website and put in the details of a new parcel and estimated delivery? Friday. So if I buy that, go to the collection point and relabel the parcel but still send it on the same service it will get there quicker!?!?!?
Needless to say the matter of refunds came up with the reply being that Hermes doesnt refund them for late delivery so they dont refund customers. Tried to explain that their commercial arrangements with their suppliers is of no consequence to me but he just kept repeating that it'll be delivered on Monday.
Anyway, 5 minutes on the phone to the bank and they've agreed to put a chargeback through, after monday though.

I can honestly say this has been without doubt the worst experience I have ever had when dealing with a supplier of goods or service. I paid in excess of £200 to have chairs returned to a supplier to get a full refund; I actually also paid for insurance believe it or not. The chairs were delivered in an unbelievably bad state. The boxes were torn, battered and in such a state that the delivery man had to take pictures and urged the supplier to advise me to make a claim (get this.....even if I didn't have insurance). The supplier refused to give me the £608 money back I'd actually spent on the chairs because they're not in a re-sellable condition. I contacted myparceldelivery.com expecting, because I'd paid for insurance' to have no issue and the money would be reimbused. No chance. I'm now £804 down. The supplier is refusing to give me my money back and myparceldelivery.com have said "if you'd have read the small print, we do not gaurantee delivery of parcels in a decent condition". Unbelievable. I only hope others wishing to use a courier read reviews before paying myparceldelivery.com any money at all.0

My DD's Christmas present should have bern delivered by Hermes. It didn't appear.
Amazon were good and refunded me. However, I still got a 'unable to deliver ' email.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
