Cheaper petrol at Costco

Petrol prices are always cheaper at Costco branches with a petrol station. In Liverpool now it's 99.9p a litre which is about 5p less than the cheapest petrol elsewhere.
You do have to pay to be a Costco member but the savings are worth it over a year and you have the benefit of shopping in Costco too.

You don't have to go to Costco to get petrol under £1. http://www.itv.com/news/central/2015-01-12/birmingham-petrol-station-about-to-run-dry-as-prices-plummet/
Given that Liverpool's costco is the only costco with a fuel station, the savings are completely irrelevant even to most of the people of Liverpool, let alone the rest of the UK! (as are the savings at the Harvest fuel stations around Birmingham).0 -
There's quite a few stations around Walsall and Birmingham now that are below £1 a litre without any membership needed.
Costco are just doing it to get people to sign up for annual membership. Pay £30 to save £2.50 on a tank!0
