The firm will have its own complaints procedure, so (in the first instance) that's what will be followed. They should have told you something about it at the start with their terms of engagement.

But if all you've suffered is the minor inconvenience of having to make a separate payment (of a sum which you would have had to pay anyway) then don't expect much other than an apology!
