Excel parking charge notice

I have been issued a parking charge notice for parking in Smyth Street Wakefield car park after not purchasing a ticket but displaying a blue badge. Having now researched matters I realise that a blue badge cannot be used on private land car parks. Is it worth appealing or should I just pay up? My other half did go and check the meter but returned without a ticket so i assume the signs were not clear but not living in Wakefield it isn't really feasible to go back and check.

If it was on or after 1st Jan then Excel have excelled themselves and moved form the BOPA to the IPC. Which means you have a useless option as 'independent appeal' and it will lose, and then you will have to complain to the DVLA and ignore debt collector letters like we have done for years.

But paying is NOT an option on this forum, so read the NEWBIES thread to learn what's what. Shame you didn't get this last month when they were in the BPA and you could have won easily on appeal to stop all the letters.

You should also complain to the retailer/Store Manager/CEO of course, or the retail park management (Google the name of place if there is a retailer, or several, on site and find out who is responsible for it/landowner).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
