Moved House - Electoral Roll

Hi All,
Hoping for a bit of advice here...
My girlfriend and I have just bought our first house after a few years of saving.
We are looking to take out some furniture on credit but we're not sure if we'll be rejected because we are not on the electoral roll at our new address yet. We can easily afford the monthly payments but we don't want a rejection showing on our credit reports.
I've contacted the local council and they have said that they have received our application but we won't be on the electoral roll until the yearly run at the end of Feb. We were both registered at our old address and our credit reports (on noddle) confirm this.
So my questions.....
Are we likely to be rejected becasue we are not on the electoral roll at our current property?
Would a rejection look bad on our credit reports (especially if we are going to have to apply for more credit once we are on the electoral roll)?
Is it possible to apply for credit if you are on the electoral roll at a different property (our old address)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All other things being equal, with well managed finance in the past then this shouldnt bar you from getting credit, we did this within the first month or so of being in our new address, for furniture too. The finance co will probably ask for your previous addresses (probably 3 years) and should be fine with that
Would a rejection look bad on our credit reports (especially if we are going to have to apply for more credit once we are on the electoral roll)?
Not one on its own, but a few searches for credit on your file can start to make you look desperate, and is then a viscious cycle of the then searches leading (or at least having an effect on decisions) to further rejections.
Is it possible to apply for credit if you are on the electoral roll at a different property (our old address)?
I At a property you no longer have any association with apart from being an old owner? wouldn't advise this as this would be lying to them, which if caught out is not going to look great, to say the least, for future applications for credit
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
