    Not that I would usually direct people to AIM listed shares, but I hold LXB Retail Properties as one of my few 'defensive' holdings.

    Its not at all volatile, just slowly increases its NAV and share price.

    Obviously do your own research but its one that might be under the radar for most people.

    I bought at £1.19 in October 2013 and its plodded its way up to £1.38 now

    Actually, an AIM share with solid asset backing, and good corporate governance, could be of great interest to many people with IHT problems.
