Trying to get a default from O2 removed

Options
I am trying to get a default from O2 removed from my credit rating, I asked for a copy of the signed agreements and proof that the default notice was delivered.

I was told that they don't need to prove that the default notice was delivered as the agreement isn't covered by the Consumer Credit Act 1974 for fixed term credit.

other than them not being able to provide signed contracts is there anything else that I can try?

Did you actually default on the payments? If so then your chance of getting the entry removed is very slim.

They are correct that there is no requirement for them to have sent you a notice of intention to file a default.

If the removal request is legitimate, this is the contact email : creditfilereferrals@o2.com

It took me 18 months of battling with them*, but I finally got them to admit their mistakes and they took off black marks from my record. However I didn't get as far as a default with them. In the email I provided my contact number(s) and account numbers, as well as screenshots and a description of what happened. It took about 3 days and they confirmed they reversed the AA and BB marks on my account, and the next credit check I did confirmed this.

    * if you want to read what is probably the millionth justified complaint about a UK phone carrier... I had a loan phone, they provided me with a return label to send it back at the end of the year, they claim (even with tracking that I had to pay for) that they never got it, finally admitted the label they sent me was actually incorrect but still refused to close my account and settle everything. I finally managed to convince the 4th person I escalated the 1 hour jet lagged phone call to that this was absolutely none of my concern and I couldn't give two craps whether they got the phone back or not, and she finally agreed to clear my name. 2 months later I finally got a confirmation email that they eventually received the handset. Then a year later I did a credit check and see they never removed the black marks from when they kept trying to bill me - despite the person I spoke to at o2 being the one telling me to cancel the payments from my end! Absolute muppets.

op if you defaulted not a chance, also you are reading incorrect info you need to read about service agreements
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
