Ipostparcels-UKmail

Options
WARNING WARNING WARNING
I have had a real hustle with Ipostparcels in trying to track a parcel that I posted from the UK to France. The courior was booked through UKmail with the delivery company Ipostparcels being their preferred delivery agent. However, it is obvious that Ipostparcels are part of UKmail. Anyway I cannot get an answer as to if my parcel has been delivered. If I log into Ipostparcels and try to enter the tracking system, it will not allow me to enter the French postcode into the search field, stating that it is invalid. It appears that it will only accept a UK postcode, even though they are the delivery agent for outside then UK. Ipostparcels do not have a phone number so the only option is to use their Contact Us Complaint option, to which they are not responding, I do get a Case number (incidently on an email from UKmail) but that is all. So I contacted UKmail as they were the agent who I booked through and the Service desk just say that it is nothing to do with them and when I said that it is their problem as I booked with them, the agent rudely said "our company is called UKmail, which means mail in the UK" when I said that I had booked through them he just said I would have to contact Ipostparcels and there was nothing he could do. I asked him for a phone number for them and said that there is not one.
Interesting though if I log on to UKmail and use their tracking, I get a status of DELAYED but stating a delivery date of 13th December.
I think this may end up with BBC Watchdog.
I am out of pocket not only for the cost of the item sent but the postage as well.
Next step is now to claim for loss of item. I wonder how that will go.
NEVER AGAIN UKMAIL/IPOSTPARCELS

    http://contactnumbers.guru/ipostparcels/

and they dont hide the fact they are part of the UK Mail Group
  • Wow, thanks for your reply Collabora, I will try and call them.
Can't understand why UKmail customer support would not give the number.
I will update this post with the outcome.
    Thanks

Because UK Mail and iPostparcels are separate companies owned by The UK Mail Group, so unless you called the UK Mail Corporate office they would not give the number.

Also you ordered through UK mail, so they are who you have contract with
  • OK so I tried the three numbers that come up on the link you kindly supplied. Two of the number go through to Rob the engineer (so the recorded message says) so not sure what that is about. The third number gets through to UKMail with the option to speak to Milton Keynes or Sheffield. Milton Keynes rings and answers and says please hold for an agent the phone goes dead then cut off completely after about 10 seconds. The Sheffield option answers and gives the same message then you hear the phone divert and it just rings forever. Sorry still feel the same about UKMail/Ipostparcels.

do a google search for 'CEO email addresses for UK companies' and you will be able to locate the CEO/Exec office email

Have you asked the person / company you sent this parcel to ? Surely they will know or not.

Hey, less of the common sense, completely unwarranted ;)
    It's someone else's fault.
  • Thanks for the latest comments.
I appreciate that I have told the full storey, just to say that I have tried to contact the recipient of the parcel to see if they have received it but have not received a reply. It was a faulty item being returned for a refund.

Anyway the point I am trying to make is that it should not be difficult for me to track an item and if there appears to be a problem, to be able to speak to someone or even get a response to the number of electronic requests for information. I should not have to resort to contacting the CEO of a company.

This thread was intended to be a warning but if it is felt that I am being unreasonable then please go ahead and use them.
