Don't tell me - you've "gone solar" and the sun has only just come above the horizon way, way up there.....:DApparently, if you lose one sense, others senses are enhanced. That's why those who have no sense of humour have an enlarged sense of self-importance.0 -

That's not a nice comment, nor is it helpful to this discussion.
Ironically, it also proves a point! About being nice (or not in this case) to all moneysavers Pls.
Apart from the fact that what you think is funny might not be funny to somebody else, what you seem to forget is that what you find funny when you right it on your side of the screen may be received in a totally different manner by the reader, because there are only written words to say what you were trying to say and often words don't convey feelings/ expressions very well! Especially on a public forum like this where people don't always use expressive icons/ punctuation/ etc.
In a face to face conversation, I might say to a friend "you silly cow" for instance and it would just be a jokey phrase, yet in a written piece of communication it could be received as quite offensive.LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

Your comment justifies my original post, it sounds like the only idiots on here are those that post comments like your own. It's worse than listening to the kids in the school playground, at least they are still learning to be adult in their comments and views"Did you hear about the frog that broke down on the motorway???? They toad him away!"0 -
Lighten up, it's The Arms, all tongue in cheek daftiness here.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
Nobody is complaining about having a laugh. What is objectionable and causes offence is the ultra right wing sort of humour which takes cheap swipes at minorities. Some of the humour appeals only to a small sub
section of the membership and is exactly what Martin is striving to avoid. What is funny to one is deeply hurtful to another. Lets be sensitive to everyone people“The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it.” Eckhart Tolle0 -

Actually do you know that the original version of Snow White is very gruesome? As is the original version of Little Riding Hood? They've just been doctored by the likes of Walt Disney so as not to offend sensibilities...
