Trouble getting an up to date Pension Forecast (Civil Service)

I hope someone can give me some advice on what I can do in this situation.
I'm ex-Civil Service, having worked there for 12 years in the 80s and 90s. When I'm 60 I will be able to get a lump sum and a monthly pension. The Civil Service Pension Scheme used to be administered by Capita but last summer administration transferred to MyCSP.
Every so often I used to contact Capita and they would send me an updated statement of how much my lump sum and annual pension would be. It was done very easily, a quick phone call and a week or so later my pension statement would arrive.
However since the scheme passed to MyCSP the whole thing has been in meltdown. There was an article in The Guardian about how the whole scheme is being badly run and mismanaged

I have been trying since last September to get an up to date pension statement. I have phoned and spoken to someone three times since then, once in late September, once in late October and once in mid November. I was on hold for ages and then spent at least 15 minutes trying to get someone to understand what it was I wanted. On the last two calls each made excuses for why the statement had not arrived. Each promised I would have the information withing a fortnight - nothing has ever turned up. I have since emailed them twice, the last time advising that I will contact my MP if needs be. No answer to either email. It was sent to the email address they advise people to use if they wish to contact MyCSP by email.
Today I phoned them again - the recorded announcement said there were very high call volumes and that the expected wait time to be connected to a pensions administrator would be 30 minutes. I decided to hold on - after one hour of waiting in a queue I gave up and hung up. I was absolutely fuming by this point.
Can anyone suggest what I should do next? It's totally impossible to get the information I need. And I do need the information - I'm at the age where I could apply early for my pension and lump sum (with a % cut for each year I am under 60) but I need to know if it is worth pursuing. For that I need to know the value of my pension / lump sum. The poor administration of MyCSP could potentially be costing me money.
Should I contact my MP or even a national newspaper - perhaps The Guardian? I can't be the only person going through all this trouble getting something as basic as a pension forecast. The whole system is a farce and is in total meltdown. MyCSP appear to be not fit for purpose.

Probably won't help but you aren't alone. Check out the MyCSP thread for more complaints - and these are mainly people trying to get a pension paid, not a valuation.
Doesn't look like it's getting any better either......0 -

I didn't realise there was already a thread. Can you post a link to the thread? Thanks.
click on 'search this forum' in the green bar above this thread.
Then click on Advanced.
Put 'MyCSP' in the search box, and select 'Thread titles' from the dropdown menu, and Robert is your father's brother. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
