01 Parked in a restricted street (etc.) when clearly not parked on yellow line(s)?

I got back to my car this afternoon and found the PCN on the screen. The street has DYLs along some stretches. There is a stretch which used to be a hospital entrance, but which is now closed and blocked. Bradford Council has not yet filled in the resulting gap between the DYLs on either side, both terminate with a perpendicular yellow line. Hence there is a 20 foot stretch with no lines, and I parked there. How good are my chances of appealing against this one?
