Opening RBS account online

Hi all,
I hold accounts with RBS and logged into my digital banking to apply for another (standard current account).
I passed the screen which said 'your application for this account has been successful', and then it went onto a page which was trying to flog loans, credit cards and savings accounts, which I closed.
The account hasn't appeared on my online banking, neither did I receive any confirmation emails or a sort code/account number.
This was on Sunday evening - when I called tonight they can't find any record of the account being opened - have I done something wrong or is it usual to wait a couple of working days for it to show online?

Did you have an email confirming the application? I did the same with Natwest recently and the account appeared overnight. Both banks use similar procedures.0

No, no email to confirm.
This happened last time I tried to open an account online and I ended up having to go into the branch :mad::mad:
