I know theres plenty of windscreen replacement firms out there, any one got any advice I'd much appreciate it, theres cling film round the top of the door at present , so kind of rain proof but not secure . thanks , its an 06 Vectra .

Getting the glass from a scrappy and asking your local mechanic to fit it will be cheapest.
Otherwise yell.com and ring around for prices.0 -

I shouldn't imagine there will be that many variation of a Vauxhall standard tint.
How did you manage to lock the keys in, did it lock itself?0 -
I was in the car with the door open passenger door open , I leaned over and there was a click on the central locking fom the key fob in my pocket, I took the keys out of my pocket and turned the ignoition on , then got out of the car and shut the door , and everything was locked .
it was like a delayed locking or something , probably because I was on the passenger side , but not something I'd ever expect to happen to be honestmy favourite food is spare ribs0 -

Any of the glass firms will do it, but as said above a scrappie would be the cheap solution.0

The glass companies are geared up for insurance work now so they really don't think of doing deals. As has been said, there will be a huge choice in the scrappies and they are pretty easy to fit. (A golf Mk 6 in for replacement regulators - the owner kept trying the frozen solid electric windows- also unfortunately needed a £20 scrappie one after that "one extra turn" on the gripper bar)0
