Repairing crack in enamel bath?

I have a enamel coated metal bath which has a crack in it in the shape of a cross about 10cm x 10cm. I don't know what caused it as I haven't dropped anything heavy but wonder if it could have been a squeegee I dropped which had metal components.
The cracks are very fine but I presume they could lead to rust? Does anyone have any recommendations on a product they've used to repair a bath? I've read reviews online and what I've found doesn't review well. My flat is a new build, only 10 months old so I would like to try and keep it looking nice.
Many thanks,
