Parking Tickets

I was wondering if someone could please advise me. I have been using my mothers car(she is registered keeper) I live at different address. For the past few weeks (3) I have been parking in my local co-op car park while I attend baby sensory class, I then buy my lunch from the supermarket. I did think you were allowed two hours parking but today after receiving my first ticket last week I have noticed a new sign stating an hour. Basically I am very worried as I have parked here 3 times in the last month so will be due another 2 fines on the top of the one I have already received. Can anyone advise what might be best to do in this situation. I have read the pinned post and I read it as don't ignore but from some of the post a lot of people have ignored.

Many Thanks
Emma

DO NOT IGNORE no matter what anyone else says as that advice is over two years out of date due to changes in the law. Do not pay, do not reveal who was driving but wait until your Mum gets the NTK (assuming a PCN was attached to the car) for each one then appeal as her as per the NEWBIES thread.

You have not received a fine and will not receive two more. It won't say fine anywhere on the paperwork.

Complain to the Co-op and landowner if you can find out who it is and demand they cancel the tickets.

What company are the tickets from?
    Je suis Charlie.
  • If it's CEL, they got kicked out by Co-op on 19th December 2014. Are the tickets before or after this date
  • Thank you for your replies. I didn't get a notice left on the car just the fine through the post. I got the tickets two of the tickets before the 19th & 1 I assume I shall get for last week.

On the actual letter I received it has the name Civil Enforcement Ltd with a Liverpool adress.

    Thank you
  • Hi thanks for the reply but no notice left on car, just letter through the post. What would you advise, thank you.
  • They use ANPR which reads your number plate on arrival and exit so no ticket on the car. They then get the RK details from DVLA and send a notice to keeper which is what you will have been sent.
Check the newbies thread on page one of the forum on how to make an initial appeal to CEL. This will either be upheld in which case you win or rejected in which case they must send a POPLA code. This then enables you to appeal to POPLA with help from here which you will win if you follow the advice.
  • If one of the parking events is after 19th December 2015 then they are being very naughty because they were kicked out by the coop on that date which means they will have got your data from DVLA without having any right to access such. Other more experienced members will be along I'm sure to advise what to do if this is the case.

Let's be clear: how many have you got so far? I'm not clear if it's one or two. And for each one you've received:

    - what was the date of the parking "event"?

    - what is the date of the letter they sent?
    Je suis Charlie.
  • Hello & Thankyou again for your replies. So far I have received just the one notice through the post for incident date the 02/12/2014 & PCN issue date23/12/14. I just assumed I would get more as I have parked there every week for the class.

    Thankyou.
  • So it's before the date CEL got kicked out by the co op.
Check the 1st appeal to the PPC in the newbies thread, really good template letter there.
Never say who was the driver, appeal as the registered keeper (or get your Mum to do so).
If they turn it down they have to supply a POPLA code then the RK Appeals to POPLA and wins
