Do I have to switch to get Santander's cashback and % rates

Do I need to use their switching service to get the cashback on utilities and the % on balances?

It isn't clear from the MSE page or the Santander website.

I would like to open an account to get the cashback on utilities, but not switch from mine.

Cheers in advance.

:)

You don't need to switch anything, just open the Santander Acc and fulfill the criteria to qualify for the cashback and interest.

You can get £35ish TCB on the top for switching.

We didn't switch, but opened a 123 Account and transferred our DDs separately, along with £20,000 of course.

Just a few hiccups with council tax, but no real problem and a neat little £45 per month from them.
