Using Credit Cards for Paypal

Regarding the issue of credit card companies being responsible for goods wholly or part paid for by their card (section 75 ??) , what is the situation with Paypal? Do the same rules apply as the account can be underwritten by a credit card if there are not sufficient funds in the account to satisfy a full payment.
If so, what happens if a payment is wholly made by the account funds without drawing on a credit card.
Would it actually be safer to keep a zero Paypal balance so the credit card is always used?

Someone will correct me, but s75 does not apply if you pay for good through a third party (ie paypal). If you want protection, pay the company directly with your CC, not through paypal? Paypal has its own protection system for complaints.0

Paully is correct. If you pay via CC via an intermediary i.e. PayPal, Amazon Marketplace etc, you have no section 75 protection.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -
Section 75 shouldn't apply, although I've heard of some people getting lucky with it - really not something you'd want to rely on though.
As for keeping a zero PayPal balance, that's something I do anyway: no point having cash sat in PayPal getting zero interest and with no FSCS protection.0
