Has anyone ever tried to get a bicycle in one? Or something of a similar size.

I wondered if it would be possible with the back seats down and the front passenger seat reclined.

Almost certainly possible if you remove the front wheel. Of the bicycle, obviously.

Or, try a bike rack. You could get a strap-on.

My folding electric bike fits in the IQ which is smaller, although that has a proper opening boot, not just a flap

Depends on the bike and how easy it is to take apart. I suspect you'll have real problems though as the boot is almost non-existant, unless you can take the wheels off or it folds.

You'll have a much better time with some external mount (roof rack, boot rack, or towball rack)

    Thanks, but I don't think I'm ready for a strap on ;)

It's a courtesy car I have until mine is fixed so I don't really want to buy a rack, and it's a bike I bought on ebay, so not sure how well it comes apart. The bike is a ladies hybrid.

I was hoping someone would say they did it all the time and it was easy peasy :rotfl:

Perhaps I'll have to wait until I get my own car back.

  • Your problem is likely to be the size of the boot opening, rather than the space inside.

Personally I would see if you could borrow a bike rack from somebody for the short term.
