Can anybody tell me how long I have to wait between opening a new current account with my present bank before switching to another bank in order to get the benefits for switching?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You don't have to wait.0

You only have to wait until you receive the debit card because I think the new bank asks for the debit card no. as part of the switch.0

...but only if you opt for a debit card (some banks give you the option). You only have to wait until you receive the debit card because I think the new bank asks for the debit card no. as part of the switch.
Personally, I've waited for the card and used it before initiating a switch. I also set up a couple of SOs with every switch I do (unless they require DDs!), even if the incentive T&Cs don't state you need them.0
