Hi
I'm thinking of going with my family to a place within Europe for 10 days during August.
A Hotel for accomodation but open to suggestions.
Not too fussy about a beach but would like a Rollercoaster type theme park, Water park and places of historical interest within easy reach.
I started to think about Spain and Tenerife.
Other suitable suggestions, please.
Thank you

There's one near Benidorm and Port Aventura near Salou.
Alicante and Tarragona would ftick the historical interest box.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

Park Asterix, North East of Paris, is great fun if you like water rides. Plenty to do and see around that area!
Last year I stayed in Peschiera del Garda (Italian Lakes) on a Sun deal. That was a really nice area. There's a themepark nearby, Gardaland, although I never went there.
Wroclaw in Poland is a gorgeous city, it has a water park but not a theme park.0 -
I have not been to too many places in my life, but I have been to Tenerife 5 times in the Last couple of years, last visit was 3 weeks ago, and for the first time ever, we tried out Siam Park. It was a fantastic water park, the rides there are just as thrilling as rollercoasters, but, we were there when it wasn't too busy and the longest we had to queue for was around 5mins, i should imagine that in August,it would be around an hour to queue for each ride. As for places of interest, Mount Teide might match up for that or the odd boat ride out to see dolphins and pilot whales.Corduroy pillows are making headlines! Back home in London now after 27years wait! Duvet know it's Christmas, not original, it's a cover.0

Holland is good - plenty to do and see the zoo at Rotterdam is good and we went to several theme parks in the area and also went to one in Belgium - near Antwerp i think and one in Germany.
We got the north sea ferry crossing at Hull.
Alot of the towns have interesting features. We have driven over there twice and found it easy enough.
Last time we stayed near overloon/ eindhoven? it was in a chalet in the forest and was on the actual battleground from WW2 still had hollowed out tanks for kids to play in.
My three kids all loved our roadtrips round Holland.“What you're supposed to do when you don't like a thing is change it. If you can't change it, change the way you think about it. Don't complain.” ― Maya AngelouPayoff some debt by xmas 2015
