UKCPS Court letter

Today I received a letter from the courts as you can imagine I parked where UKCPS didn't want me to park. I ignored all the previous threatening letters but eventually this turned up. I parked in a square behind the Coop and noticed the white lines had been painted, I parked near the centre of the square where a lot of people usually stop. did not block anyone etc etc. UKCPS warning signs have been up for ages but I have not read them because they are cowboys. I have no intention of paying them anything but could do with some advice. I have read up on the forum but it looks like UKC**** have given up before court, ho hum aint I the lucky one. Thanks in advance. Bill
Sorry cant post a picture of my letter though

read the NEWBIES sticky thread, especially the court section , as this company DO take people to court, typically about 800 per annum AFAIK0

Did the invoice include v.a.t. If it did not you could argue that this is not a contractual breach, but a breach of contract, and GPEOL is applicable,

Take it more seriously - UKCPS sue people and they do turn up. You need to read post #5 of the NEWBIES sticky thread about how to defend this properly, what to do when and what forms arrive and how to complete them. You also need to make yourself aware of ParkingEye v Beavis which is going to the Court of Appeal. UKCPS rarely drop out of a claim from what I have seen...are you muddling them with another firm?
People do win v UKCPS sometimes (examples linked in the NEWBIES thread post #5) but they lose as well, particularly when not taking it all seriously.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
