Kitchen - Cooke & Lewis or Wickes

Looking to replace our kitchen, we have quotes from B&Q and Wickes, just wondering has anyone had any recent experience, advice or other offerings as to which may be the best ? Both companies have been equally helpful and are close on price when it comes to the budget of £10k - B&Q slightly better in so much as their offering includes brand new appliances thoughout whereas Wickes have only included a new oven, grill and hob, B&Q can include an integrated dishwasher and integrated microwave. Has anyone had recent experience of either company please, our project will include fitting by one of the two companies. The Cooke & Lewis I have been told is top quality doors but the cheaper IT range of carcasses WITHOUT you being told, something the B&Q designer absolutely denies. I'm just not sure which way to go and so any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I think the Wickes units tend to be better. I know some professionals who use them. Also, better to choose your own appliances as the ones that come are usually a bit bottom drawer.
This is just an opinion. I'm sure someone will be along to support the other lot.0 -
We had no money and so no budget :-) So we got Wickes to design the kitchen for free and bought the units practically off their shelves. Nothing was custom made. Costs was about £1800 for the units and the only appliance was the extractor. Everything else we bought elsewhere. It has withstood all our DIY mistakes and looks amazing. We had it for more than a year now. We originally got a quote from B&Q. Somehow we didn't like what was on offer and the price for the same kind of thing was more expensive. Our local Wickes kitchen designer staff was very helpful even after the purchase!SPC 08 - #452 - £415
