Static caravans for temp living accommodation

Thinking about getting a static caravan in my back garden as temporary living accommodation for me, or my sister & her boyfriend.
Planning aside, with a large garden with room for a static caravan which wouldn't be an eyesore due to the shape of the garden, how would it connect to utilities?
Not having been in a static since my youth, I can't remember the details.
My garden has electricity on it's own box, so that wouldn't be a problem. My thoughts are about water and sewage.
Ideas?

How temporary is "temporary"? Planning consent may be your first obstacle. Obviously you will need suitable pipework to connect to both mains sewer and mains water and the connections may need building regulations approval.
Static caravans (especially older models) aren't designed for year round living, whereas a purpose built mobile or park home is.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
They connect to utilities in much the same way as anything more permanent would, you'd need to run water/sewerage pipes to wherever you site the caravan.0
