Entitlement to Enhanced Housing Benefit premium?

I am on PIP, enhanced daily living and in the support group-I read on CAB website that this meant I would get a 'passported benefit premium' in housing benefit. However the local council are saying 1) Enhanced Housing premium does not exist anymore(?) and I am not entitled to a premium as it is inlcuded in my Income related ESA(???) It sounds like a load of nonsense to me-does anyone know the rules in this?

Are you on income related ESA? If so you should receive the full rate of HB/ LHA for your situation. The premium you are thinking of forms part of your applicable amount, if you already receive the maximum rate you will not get more.

What do you think this premium will give you extra to what you already receive?

If on ESA I you get full HB help anyway so the premium gives you nothing extra?

I have never heard of enhanced housing premium - what is it?
These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.
