Photos not in Camera Roll in Facebook app

I have a Nexus 4 and since Lollipop upgrade ( thanks for ruining my phone Google) when i post a status on Facebook and add a photo, my latest photos are not showing in "camera roll", they are months old. The only way I can add photos to facebook is by going via the new photos folder, edit them, and then they appear. I can share single photos from the same folder by sharing and then selecting facebook but that's not often what i want to do.
I can't navigate away from camera roll on Facebook, so I'm stuck.
Any ideas anyone?

Have you tried not using the Facebook app and using the website instead?

Do the photos show up in a gallery app correctly?

What is "camera roll"?

I have a Nexus 4 with Android 5.01 (which I really like, now that I'm used to it) and the default app for photos is, erm, Photos. I have also subsequently installed the MyRoll app.

If you take the photo from within the app then it won't show in your photos, if you take the pic from the camera app then attach it it should be fine.

my default is camera roll and i cant work out how to change it to Photos
