Silver Wedding Ann break but with 8 year old

Hiya
Its our silver wedding anniversary this July and I am trying to find a special hotel with good food for a few nights. Our 8 year old will be coming with us though and its surprising how many places I am having to rule out because they don't seem to do family rooms.
I was looking for somewhere ideally North Wales, West Midlands, or Liverpool, possibly round Bath or Bristol.
If someone could recommend a special but child friendly hotel I would be incredibly grateful!
Thank you!

Have you looked at the Strathmore hotels?

Lots of hotels do have family rooms, try booking.com or laterooms.com for research - I think you find you will be spoiled for choice then :)

One of my faves in the NW is Crewe Hall, lovely spa and food.
