Hotel Near or With easy Access to Trafalgar Square/Covent Garden (Theatre Break)?

My partner & her mum are looking for a theatre break (1 night) for Phantom of the opera and shopping at Covent Garden and Harrods (I know total different areas). At the moment the best we can come up with a Hotel on the (now corrected) Piccadilly line as this means using only one tube line over the weekend (arriving at Kings cross).
Any suggestions of hotels or packages would be appreciated as I am totally out of my comfort zone. When I go to London, I always chose a cheap hotel and travel in to and out of London, I would never personally consider paying £100+ for one nights hotel stay, let alone the extortionate price to see some reality TV reject 'staring' in a 25 year old show.

What is the budget? You only seem to say what you wouldnt pay not what they are willing to spend.0

Do you mean Piccadilly? Jubilee does not go to Kings Cross.
Yes, that's the one The Navy blue line.InsideInsurance wrote: »What is the budget? You only seem to say what you wouldnt pay not what they are willing to spend.
Probably up to £400 (£200 PP) but even though I'm not paying the cheaper the better.0 -
Try sticking your dates in trivago or a similar hotel comparison site. You can narrow down to specific areas. It will also link to ratings indicating whether it's any good or not.
There are budget hotels like premier inn ( my preferred budget chain) up to 5* luxury so I'm sure you will find something.
I'd book tickets/theatre separately personally and don't forget cash back sites0
