Flat fizzy drinks in restaurants and pubs

Does anybody else get annoyed when you visit a restaurant or pub and the fizzy drinks are completely flat. You can pay between 2.50 and 3.50 for a large coke, surly you should be able to expect it to be fizzy.

Yep, but mostly when the syrup runs low and you get a glass of coloured soda water. Take it back and ask for another

Yep, they should take the same care as with the beers, especially at that markup! They'll usually change it without question though

Yep, it's annoying, but as others have said I simply tell them what's wrong for it and ask for a replacement.

I always ask for a replacement, but the replacement is always the same. I then ask for a glass of tap water instead.

If it's flat the gas needs changed, no reason they can't change it and replace your drink.

Its like changing a barrel of beer though. Unless there are sufficient staff that one can leave to go the cellar then it won't happen

I actually prefer it as I love the taste of coke but I don't like it really fizzy, only slightly fizzy. Frankie & Bennys do it the best.
If its too fizzy, I either take too long to drink it or I never finish it because everyone is waiting for me.
