PE Morrisons supermarket

Help please.
A friend at work has just told me they received a CPN in April 2014 in a 2 hr free car park and they have been ignoring the letters ever since. They have no receipts or bank statements to prove they were shopping and overstayed by no more than 30 mins.
What's the best way forward with this seeing as PE are apparently the most likely to take to court ?

first of all take a read of the sticky thread.
Secondly has your friend moved address since then?
have they received any more /other letters regarding the parking?

I've read the Newbies thread but they've ignored it for a long time, can they still appeal it or are they stuffed ?
I've told them to dig out any letters they've received so I'll find out at work tomorrow, they're pretty sure they haven't received any court papers yet though.

Whilst they are the most litigious PPC, PE still only take a very small percentage of non-payers to court. If your friend has ignored everything so far then I'd suggest continuing to ignore (except for an LBCCC or court papers).

DON'T contact PE with an appeal as it'll just put your friend on PE's radar.

Thank you for the replies, hopefully they'll bring the letters to work tomorrow and hopefully there's no court papers among them

Hopefully the keeper can name the driver and all will be well - as it can then be appealed and won. The keeper will need to think HARD about who was driving as it wasn't them...it really wasn't...I am sure!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
