    where are you flying into ? A transfer from Havana Airport to Varadero is under 2 hours so worth comparing prices to both airports.

    I did the trip years ago so prices are going to be way out. I did 7 nights AI in Varadero and 3 B&B in Havana. Flew to Havana went to a Cubanacan desk who stuck me on a coach to Varadero for about $20. Driver stopped enroute for a cigar break at a wicked bar so took to opportunity to jump out and grab a rum and coke.
    If the Cubanacan company still exist they do hotels too.

    Loved Cuba, Havana was my favourite. Locals so welcoming and friendly. Great memories.

    Well, the best quotes I've had fly into Havana. It didn't give an option to change to destination airport, I could only select 'cuba'. Assuming that this site just flys to Havana.

    I'll have a look for the cubanacan company.

    Cool. Can you remember where you booked it?

    Struggling to find anything for 10 days (during April school hols) for less than £1000 each for 3nights Havana and 7 varadero, but with air Europa with an annoying stop at Madrid there and back.

    I booked direct withVirgin Holidays over the phone. Booked only a few weeks before we went though. But it was at peak time August. I'd already researched the hotels i was happy to stay in so when i phoned when they were reeling off prices and hotels i would stop them at the ones i wanted.

    Amazing how much choice was still available at the last minute and a fairly decent price.
    99.9% of my posts include sarcasm!
    Touch my bum :money:
    Tesco - £1000 , Carpet - £20, Barclaycard - £50, HSBC - £50 + Car - £1700
    SAVED =£0
    Debts - £2850

    I think I'm going to go with that approach. Cheapest with Virgin online is a laughable 1550 each.

    Please ensure that your Travel Insurance covers you for Cuba.
    Things may soon change, now that the USA are trying to 'play nice' with Cuba again, but any insurance firm that is linked to the USA do not provide cover for Cuba, because of the 'issues' between the two countries.

    Will do, cheers. This will be something I sort out once I've booked the hol.
