For any one thinking about switching to co-op energy ,you might be interested in my experience.
Started supply with them 29/09/2014 and submitted monthly meter readings. As I had not received a bill at the end of Dec I contacted them and they were surprised that I had not got a bill.

A bill was then prepared but it was for the period 29/09/2014 to 29/12/2015 standing charge of 465days included,as this resulted in a figure of £1482 in debt.

I queried this and a revised bill was sent, this bill covered the correct period and charge, but as the previous incorrect bill had not been cancelled the previous debit had been carried forward.
Contacted them again no explanation how this had happened but would be investigated. The next thing I get is a DD review because of my £1482 debit( which is now in fact a credit of £75) and my DD are to increase from £88 to £168. Have contacted them again and am awaiting next installment.

So anyone thinking of switching, as recommended by Martin be aware of my experiences.
