Unable to register for credit check

Hello,
my son is trying to see his credit report, but as he has moved house a few times in a short period, the agencies will not complete the process.
He has been in his present council flat for just 3 months, prior to that a private rent 6 months, prior to that with me for approx 9 months, before then a private rent for 16 months.
The years up to this he lived with me.
He has paid council tax and all bills religously, and registered to vote at all adresses.
He has never had a loan or credit card and always been in work,
any suggestions?

He needs to stay settled at an address for a while, without any credit history they'll be nothing to see anyway. Lenders want to see you can manage credit over a number of years, if he stays put for a while and is on the electoral roll he can then get some starter credit and begin to prove he can manage it.
  • Thanks for your reply,
he used the credit card tool on mse site to see if he could get a card to build credit history, but that has the same result, I dont think he could be identified, I can spot him in a crowd though!

I think this is going to be an ever increasing problem for our children. Unless they never leave home until they can afford a mortgage they are going to have a problem with credit. Nobody other than us actually cares. Unfortunately we are not a computer system so have no input.
