LibreOffice help ...

Options
i am trying to get rid of comments made in LibreOffice, but deleting the comment just puts a cross through the comment box. How do I get rid of the box itself?

Is there an equivalent in LO to Track Changes in Word?

That said, it looks like all you can do is change whether to view or not comments.

"Delete Comment" removes the box on LO writer version 4.3.0.4

OK - took a while to find but here's the switch.

Open "File/properties/security" menu and unclick the "record changes" box & click OK and you should be back to normal.

This is saved with the file so every affected file will need attention.

That's what I was referring to regarding Track Changes in Word. If there's an Accept Changes option then all the changes should be incorporated into the document and the comments deleted.

thanks guys. i should have been clearer though sorry - i need to send the file to someone with track changes showing, but not the comments, so getting rid of TC doesnt work for me.

however, i just had a mooch around and - under View, there is a Comments option to turn them on or off! :D
