Quote for fixing shower

Our shower (fitted into wall - no electric pull cord or anything) has stopped giving hot water. Still works, but no hot. Someone has come out this morning and says the mixer has gone. He said he had others in the area (8 year old estate) which had gone as well, estimates part to be approx. £100, he will confirm later.
Does this sound reasonable - it is a Triton LP.
Hubby says I have to have 2 more people round, but I hate getting them all in and then saying 'no thanks' for something small.

We recently had our shower replaced. We moved in a few months back and the shower was most likely the original (18 years old). It's a mains shower and was clogged up with limescale. We tried cleaning it but it was beyond help. Our handyman said a replacement inner would cost over £100, I had a look around on the interweb for a whole new shower and found one for £186 inc delivery. The old shower and the new one were Mira showers. It took our odd job man a couple of hours to fit the new shower and we are really pleased with it.
It's worth having a look around on the interweb to see how much you could pick up a modern version of your current shower for. For a bit more you could have a whole new shower.
One other point worth mentioning is that our new shower is designed for use in hard water areas, so if this applies to you it might be worth looking at (it is a Mira Gem 88 shower). We printed out the specifications of the new shower and asked our handy man to check it was compatible with the current pipework before ordering it."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0 -
Spares are available direct from Triton so you can phone and ask how much the part is if you can't find it on their site, or if they know what the fault may be. I found their customer service to be excellent.

Thanks all!
After posting I did a bit of digging around and found the Triton website. The part is listed for more on there than I was quoted. The chap rang me back that afternoon and said it would be £190 (part + VAT + fitting). He also quoted me for a new shower at £250 (inc VAT + fitting). We are going for the new one, as other one is 8 yrs old and we live in a hard water area, so don't want to spend that for something else to go in short term.
