ukcps disabled space ticket

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice on this. I've never had a parking ticket before!
I was visiting Bowlplex in Longwell Green in Bristol for a kids birthday party and there was plenty of parking but I found a spot and parked without thinking anymore about it.
When I returned to the car I saw a penalty notice and had no idea what it was for until I read the ticket and realised that I was parked in a disabled bay. There was no post in front of it like you normally get with disabled bays, it was on its own next to normal spaces and the paint was very faded on the ground. It was on the left hand side as you drive past it, so didn't see painted symbol on the ground over the other side of the car.
Coincidentally I did actually have my disabled daughter with me. She only has low rate mobility disability (and high personal care) but we are not entitled to a blue badge. But understand there may be some angle on the equality act?
In addition, I went on the UKCPS website advertised on the ticket and it doesn't exist! ukcps.net
Anyway, not sure what is my best angle on this - lack of visibility of the marked space, having a disabled child with me, or just stick to usual argument about it being non enforceable. Haven't quite got my head around all the advice yet, there is so much of it and I'm not familiar with all the companies and terms used...
Really grateful for any advice

Does it say the word "penalty" on the ticket? If it does ignore it and let them take you to court.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0

just read the newbies sticky thread, dont use words if they are not true (I doubt it said penalty on the ticket), wait for NTK and then appeal
all explained in the NEWBIES sticky thread
also, get pictures of the signage and the bay0 -
Hi, thanks for the replies. It says 'parking charge notice' on the front and asks for £100 parking charge inside.
I did take pictures of the bay at the time luckily.
So, wait for NTK letter then.0 -
...Although I am still a bit confused because if I want to argue that the space was badly marked (and/or that I was entitled to use it anyway with my disabled daughter) then I'd be admitting that I was driving anyway.0

just wait for the NTK, then you can say "the driver" blah blah , no need to tell anyone who was driving, it could have been me driving your car !
so "the driver" may have been entitled to use the space, under the equality act 2010 , IF somebody qualifies under the act (nothing to do with blue badges)0 -

Add the bit about the bay markings to the appeal point concerning inadequate signage.
You only have to say that one of the occupants was disabled. There is no need to give any details about relationships.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

It seems to me that PPCs deliberately allow disabled space markings to fade in order to catch people out. I visited the South Reading Lidl recently and this was the case, Link Parking were I believe the rascals in residence.
BTW, did the invoice include v.a.t.?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
